I came across this little poem which I personally have decided to make my "2009" Resolution :
A little more happiness spread through the day,
A little more cheer to light up the way;
A little more thought for the chap at our side;
A little more credit for others who've tried.
A little less impatient with those we deem too low;
A little less of arrogance because of all we know;
A little more humility, seeing our worth is slight;
We are such trivial candles compared to stars at night!
A little more forgiving and swifter to be kind;
A little more desirous the word of praise to find;
The word of praise to utter and make a heart rejoice;
A little bit more careful to speak with gentle voice;
A little more true eagerness to understand each other;
A little more real striving to help a shipwrecked brother;
A little more high courage to each task that must be done;
These be our resolutions -- And God help every one!
A little more kindness in word and in deed,
A little more boosting that others may need;
A little more love for the folks that we know;
A little more effort so friendships may grow.
Just a little of these--as we plod along here--
Will make it a wonderful, wonderful year!

Well, what do you think? It's quite a "tall order" and we might not succeed in all of this, but it's something to strive for. We're sure that as we set our hearts to do it day by day throughout the year, with God's help, some progress will be made. And we firmly believe that as we do so, we'll all be doing our part in making a better World.
